Social Dogs

This weekend, The Pawfessionals (benefiting the Jacksonville Humane Society) held a dog-friendly social! How fun! With my "mom" being a member of the board, of course she was in attendance, but this weekend, Southern Inspired Treats (SIT) also made an official debut as a donating sponsor at the public event!

Attending dogs received samples of treats including Peanut Butter Cookies and a seasonal snack, Spring Flower Cookies made with healthy sunflower seeds and healthy, colored yogurt icing!  We hope all dogs enjoyed them and make their owners come back to us to order more super-healthy, delicious treats!

Treats for everyone (dogs)!
Let me quickly tell you why I was not there socializing with other dogs.  I was being punished. Now, my mom is pretty much a huge pushover and sometimes feels sorry for me when I do things wrong. She'll get on to me quickly, then give me a big hug and kiss and say she's sorry for being mean and she knows I'm just a big baby still learning right from wrong.  However, I had a BAD night Friday night (the day before my big outing).

Here is my side of the story: Sophie (who is 90 lbs. less than me) ran past me and dared me to chase her.  So, I did. I chased her outside on to the steps and she stuck her leg out to trip me and I fell on it.  She screamed bloody murder and made such a scene.  Mom ran out and started yelling at me and then they were gone.  A few hours later, Sophie was back with a cast.  I didn't mean to, but I broke her back leg.  Now, she's getting all this attention and it's all my fault.

So, I missed the dog social, but am planning on being at the next one if someone doesn't make any other plans to sabotage me.

Hanging my head in shame,
Amos
