Is it cost/what's least expensive? Is it the list of ingredients (if you look, what do you look for)? Is it just the kind they've always eaten? Do you just not buy them any at all because they're really picky eaters?
As humans, we have gotten used to purchasing what is often times cheapest and easiest to put in our bodies. Of course, that then falls over to what we feed our dogs. But, in the end, it results in unhealthy bodies with high disease probability, weight problems and more for all of us.
If we want less veterinarian visits and less health problems for our dogs, we have to be cognisant of what they're eating - even the little fun treats.
So, think about what your dog's treats should be (not cost) next time you buy them:
- Tailored - your dog may have specific needs that differ from other dogs. Do you know what they are? Whole-wheat sounds great, but not if your dog is sensitive to wheat. Being able to customize what your dog needs should help you make your decision about their treats.
- Fresh - they may not last as long, you say. That's right. There's a great reason for that! They're...
- All-Natural - they don't contain any preservatives, chemicals, artificial flavors, colorings, things that make them "look" better or last for a year, but will only do harm. Only treats with fresh, all-natural ingredients used, with no processing, are best for your dog.
Organic carrots, spinach and eggs - only the freshest healthiest ingredients in our treats! Think about it!
